Cycle Time Contours from Point of Appraisal

The following maps provide cycle time estimates for Interior forest districts where potential opportunities might be available for the development of bioenergy projects. Cycle time describes the average time it takes to load a logging truck, drive to the point of appraisal (the assumed final destination of the logs being transported), unload the truck, and then return to the harvesting site.

Note — these maps are extremely detailed and large in size. A plotter is suggested for best output results.

Tenure opportunities for bioenergy are guided by forest stewardship requirements, available low-grade timber, and available Allowable Annual Cut. Bioenergy tenure opportunities do not currently exist in the Prince George and Okanagan Shuswap forest districts. However, the following cycle time maps may be useful for forest companies and independent power producers interested in developing bioenergy projects in nearby forest districts.

Note — these maps are extremely detailed and large in size. A plotter is suggested for best output results.
