Invasive Plant Program

Management of Invasive Plants

Once a plant species no longer is a candidate for the provincial Early Detection and Rapid Response (EDRR) eradication program, management of the infested areas becomes the primary objective. Managing invasive plants uses the Integrated Pest Managment (IPM) approach, which incorporates a variety of control and treatment options.

On this page we list some of the prescriptions and guidelines for invasive plant management on Provincial Crown lands. These documents are being produced by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastucture, and contractors who perform work on Crown lands are bound by these guidelines.
