Too many tree planters have their planting season, and income, cut short by accidental injury. The following information explains common tree planting injuries and what you can do to prevent them!

Preventing Injuries

To prevent yourself from being injured while tree planting you should:

  • prepare for the planting season by getting into good physical shape
  • use the right tools for the job
  • warm up properly before starting work
  • be aware of the time of day when most injuries happen and be extra alert during this period
  • wear all required personal protective equipment and clothing
  • follow safe work procedures.
