The overall objective of this study was to evaluate the potential benefits of ectomycorrhizal fungi in container nurseries and after outplanting. It examines:
how colonization and growth of selected mycorrhizal fungi is affected by different fertility regimes and growing mixes in container culture;
the effects of selected mycorrhizal fungi on root growth and morphology of container seedlings, and the differing effects among fungi;
the most common native ectomycorrhizal fungi that colonize root systems of young plantation seedlings; and,
Does inoculation with selected mycorrhizal fungi influence mortality or growth after outplanting on routine reforestation sites in the southern interior?
