Successful practice of integrated forest management requires detailed knowledge of the characteristics and interactions of the resources involved, and an understanding of how various management practices affect them. In response to the need of obtaining better information on the relationship between wildlife and silviculture in northern British Columbia, FRDA project 1.49 was set up to develop a simple and practical wildlife monitoring method. This document was designed for use in the field as a procedures manual and reference for that method.
