Abstract

This manual provides nursery personnel, nursery managers, and researchers with information on variable chlorophyll fluorescence as an important tool for assessing seedling physiological quality. It describes the fluorometer system, instructs in its use, gives protocols for the acquisition of data, and provides assistance in the interpretation of data. The manual also explains the physiological basis of Fvar assessment, and provides seasonal baseline examples for the physiological assessment.
