The purpose of this FRDA Project was to study the influence of soil temperature on the effectiveness of various ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi i.e., their ability: to colonize roots a nursery; to persist and colonize new roots in the field; and, to improve the growth and physiology of white spruce (Picea glauca (Moench) Moss) seedlings.
