Abstract

This manual describes the procedures involved in preparing plant tissues in general and white spruce (Picea glauca [Moench] Voss) apical buds in particular for conventional light microscope and scanning electron microscope examination. It focuses on training the practitioner, through the use of a case example, to master a set of basic procedures and principles necessary for preparing plant tissues.
