Abstract

This guide includes over 300 plant species which occur in the western part of the Kamloops Region. It is intended for the use of those people not familiar with botanical jargon, therefore, technical terms were eliminated were possible. A glossary is included to explain any technical terms which were used. This guide is just a tool to use in species identification and should not be used as a final authority in cases of uncertainty. In such cases, specimens should be collected, pressed, and brought in to the Kamloops Regional Forestry Headquarters to be identified.
