Abstract

This guide is a condensed version prepared for field use, and it is to be used in conjunction with the more complete office copy. The office copy of the field guide contains an explanation of the concepts of the ecosystem classification system, definition of terms and a more complete description of the biogeoclimatic units. To facilitate identification of characteristic plant species used in this guide, and accompanied field manual is available entitled "A Guide to Some Common Plants in the Kamloops Forest Region". A list of the scientific-common plant names is given in Appendix B.
