Abstract
Remeasurement data and observations over a period of 32 years from twenty 0.1619-ha permanent plots on East Thurlow Island, British Columbia, suggest that commercially thinning dense, good-site, 56-year-old (30 m tall) western hemlock stands neither appreciably increases cumulative yield nor has a significant impact on stand dynamics.
