This report is a mid-term assessment of a multi-year project that seeks to refine the seed/seedling ratio used in the standard cone survey procedure described by Bancroft (1996) by developing regression relationships between the number of seeds available on a site, the forest floor conditions, and the slope/aspect characteristics for two biogeoclimatic subzone variants.
