This proposal seeks to develop a documented set of protocols and requirements for a successful, integrated inventory management framework. The protocols will address how data is stored and communicated between software applications. The requirements will address what the needs of those who use such applications will be. The project will apply this knowledge by creating a 'proof of concept' prototype application based on existing software. Lignum and other agencies can then test using this prototype to query and map inventory data through an easy-to-use program interface.
