Towards Best Practices for Public Processes in Sustainable Forest Management

This proposal aims to improve the effectiveness of public processes in planning and management of sustainable forestry, with the eventual aim of developing Best Practices for public involvement and accountable decision-making in forest resource management. The research focuses in particular on developing practical guidelines for trade-off analysis and supporting computer visualisation as a uniquely powerful tool for communications, education, analysis, and design.
