Mountain Pine Beetle Detection and Monitoring: Remote Sensing Evaluations

This study develops an applied remote sensing strategy for resource management, for the BC Ministry of Forests and private BC companies, involving monitoring and control of mountain pine beetle (MPB) infestations. This project will address the most efficient and reliable remote sensing strategy for investigating the possibility of identifying and mapping, in a practical and cost effective manner, early infestation stages (current attack) of MPB and subsequent advanced stages.
