Author(s): Marshal, Valin G. (Royal Roads University)
Subject: Ecology, Other
Series: Forest Investment Account (FIA) - Forest Science Program

Abstract

The Monograph will be a detailed reference work on the biology, ecology, taxonomy, identification, and descriptions of 48 soil nematode taxa from Douglas-fir forests in British Columbia. These taxa are also listed in two published papers (Panesar et al. 2000, 2001; cited in Personal Data Forms). The Monograph will be extremely useful for future studies using soil nematodes as bioindicators of soil ecological conditions and soil health. It will be a first on soil nematodes for BC, and will facilitate research on soil nematodes in all Regions of the province.
