Sediment budgets of community watersheds in the Southern Interior - Cranbrook City watershed
|Author(s): Jordan, Peter (BC Ministry of Forests)||Subject: Forestry, Hydrology||Series: Forest Investment Account (FIA) - Forest Science Program|
The study will investigate processes of runoff generation, natural and development related sources of sediment, the effects of forest practices on sediment production, and the impacts on water quality, in the Gold Creek watershed, one of the City of Cranbrook?s community watersheds. Streamflow and sediment monitoring instrumentation is installed on three headwaters drainages, one of which is a control. Climate and snowpack information are also collected in the watershed. This study is the third year of a 5-year project funded by FRBC in 2001.
