Evaluating a Structural Basis for Monitoring Biodiversity

Abstract

In this report, we evaluate the predictive performance of models developed for species in relation to stand structural charateristics of forests. Although some models performed well (i.e., good perdictive accuracy when assessed with the data used to construct the model, results were poor when applied to an independent data set.
