While traditional forest management primarily focused on a sustained forest resource for timber utilization, ther eis now the public desire to manage forest ecosystems toward a balance between social, ecological and economic values while at the same time allowing future generations to enjoy the same benefits. This concept is known as Sustainable Forest Management, and represents the foundation by which the Lillooet Timber Supply Area land base will be managed.
