Tree growth measurement data was collected and foliar nutrient levels assessed at the Holberg and Jordan River hoe-forwarding trials during the 2006/2007 fiscal year. Data analysis and summation of results is presently in progress. In the second year of this project, we propose to continue with the initial plan to collect growth measurements and assess nutritional status of study trees at the third trial near Woss, BC. Tree height and diameter measurements will be collected from approximately 600 trees growing along 15 trafficked lines created by the hoe-forwarder, and 15 untrafficked (control) lines. In addition, foliar samples will be collected from a subset of trees to assess foliar nutrient levels in relation to site disturbance. There are no planned deviations from the original proposal in Year 2.
