This project is a continuation of an approved project (#4442007) during FIA Fiscal Year 2005/06. This is Phase III of that approved project plan that due to time restrictions (i.e. fiscal year end) could not be completed. The project has two main objectives: 1. To evaluate the Criteria, Indicators and Measures developed by Canfor and the Public Advisory Group (Appended to this RFP) for the ability to monitor them for the SFM Plan. 2. To establish documented procedures to monitor selected measures of the SFM plan that include setting of baselines and recording of performance measure information. Specifically for Phase III - Phase 3 will be completed for FIA fiscal 2006/2007. 1. For Group 2 measures identified in phase 1, and using a recognized survey process and environmental management system procedures and/or other methods, a. establish or revise documented procedures to monitor selected measures of the SFM plan that include, i. recording of performance measure information, ii. data tracking of performance information, and iii. reporting out of baseline performance measures. 2. Prepare a final report outlining, for each selected measure, data collection methods/techniques. The monitoring program or protocol must specify how it connects to forest planning or practices, and explain how measures attained will guide modification of planning or practice. 3. Provide all digital deliverables (databases) to GENUS Standards as required and as provided by Canfor. 4. Provide a workshop/meeting with Canfor staff to report the results of the project.
