|The Blind Channel Trail has been in existence for over 20 years. The trail leaves Blind Channel Resort and travels through a variety of forest management settings, providing a good educational tool for tourists who visit this area. The trail gets frequent use from the Blind Channel cliental as well as a number of tour companies that stop in at this resort just for the trail experience (Eagle Eye Adventures, Marine Link). The trail extends for 3 – 4 km into the forest and offers a number of highlights for the hiker. Some of these high lights include: • Beach viewpoint of Blind Channel • 100 year old second growth • 30 year old second growth hemlock stand, spaced • 18 year old third growth Douglas fir stand, spaced • 14 year old third growth Douglas fir/ hemlock stand, unspaced • Ocean/island vista • Old growth cedar (46 feet circumference) • Numerous creeks|
