|The Licensee Team established a Public Advisory Group (PAG) in November 2004 to assist with developing the Sustainable Forest Management Plan (SFMP) for the Fort St. James Forest District. Working together with the PAG, the Licensee Team completed the SFMP. In addition, the Licensee Team created a Continuous Improvement Matrix to assist itself and the PAG in tracking issues needing to be addressed at a future date. Over the course of the past year, the Licensee Team and PAG met to monitor and improve on the indicators, targets, and variances of the Fort St. James SFMP and to address issues in the Continuous Improvement Matrix. In addition, the Licensee Team also sponsored a field meeting to provide another forum for presenting on indicators of concern or interest to the PAG and allow more discussion on those topics. In March 2007, the PAG and Licensee Team renewed their Terms of Reference. Between April 1, 2006 and March 31, 2007, the PAG met six times, with an average of seven members of the public at each meeting, to undertake the work necessary to continue to improve and monitor the SFMP. Seven PAG members attended the field tour. A meeting evaluation form was used to gather feedback from those attending each PAG meeting. PAG members consistently rated their level of satisfaction with the meeting, PAG process, facilitator, and meeting logistics at or above 80%. Over the upcoming twelve months, the FSJ PAG will continue to work on monitoring and improving the existing SFMP for the Fort St. James Forest District. The PAG will also continue to work on addressing issues listed in the Continuous Improvement Issues Matrix and will review its Terms of Reference.|
