The objective of this project was to permanently deactivate the Bamfield Main BM555 road. Evidence of instability along these roads indicated a high likelihood of a slope failure. This project was undertaken to mitigate the hazard of a landslide event initiating from this road and transporting sediment to the Sarita River.
