Operational Trials of Disk Trenching in the Nadina and Vanderhoof Forest Districts - Progress Report for the 2004 Field Season
|Author(s): Macadam, Anne||Subject: British Columbia, Forestry, Silviculture/Forest Management Systems||Series: Forest Investment Account (FIA) - Land Base Investment Program - Innovative|
Between 1999 and 2001, a series of operational trials were installed to assess the effectiveness of disk trenching on a range of sites within Fraser Lake Sawmills' chart areas in the Nadina (formerly Lakes and Morice) and Vanderhoof Forest Districts. Experimental design, methods, and progress during the 1999-2003 field seasons have been documented in the working plan and progress reports for each year of the project. During the 2004 field season, fifth-year data were collected for the 28 trials established in 2000. This interim report documents progress accomplished during 2004, and provides a summary of fifth-year data collected to date. Collection of the final set of fifth-season data and a detailed analysis and discussion of results are scheduled for 2005/2006.
