Abstract

The primary purpose of the Morice & Lakes Innovative Forest Practices Agreement (M&L IFPA) is to establish a planning and management framework and specific plans for sustainable forest management (SFM) in the Morice and Lakes Timber Supply Areas. Standardization of indicator monitoring and reporting is required to objectively guide adaptive management activities such as management adjustments, continual improvement initiatives, general communication to interested persons, continued public involvement and certification commitments. A key requirement in addressing this need is the preparation of standard operating procedures for indicator monitoring and reporting.
