Programs & Services: Tenures
The timber tenures program is responsible for issuance of all timber cutting authorities on crown lands.
These include Major Licensees, the Small Scale Salvage program, the Woodlot License program and the Christmas Tree Permit Program.
The Tenures staff are also responsible for timber cruise, appraisal, and waste and residue survey information for stumpage rates and revenue billings by the crown.
Timber marks are also issued to landowners for removal of timber from private lands.
Free Use permits are available for individuals to cut a Christmas tree and firewood for personal use.

Small Scale Salvage
The small scale salvage program is intended to provide opportunities for small
businesses to salvage damaged timber in a timely manner.
