  • (Feb 06, 2015) Bulletin 17 - The requirements for Field Director Qualifications have been updated.
  • (August 13, 2012) Archaeology Branch to increase field audits. Permit holders will be notified when a field audit is scheduled, and, where generally, the field visit, interviews and inspection of facilities will be arranged with the permit holder or representatives.   A final audit report will be sent to the permit holder.
  • (December 3, 2009) First Nations Field Assistants: It was resolved at the December 2009 Archaeology Branch meeting that if a permit application contains a statement in reference to hiring First Nation field assistants, Project Officers will ask the applicant to revise the application so it is clear that First Nation participation is at the discretion of the applicant’s client. All applications will then be silent on the use of First Nation field assistants or will include the “at the discretion” clause.
  • Archaeological Permit Tracking System (APTS) Logon
    Provides direct access to APTS.The Archaeology Branch is integrating the APTS into the permit application and report review process. The APTS can be used by professional archaeologists to:
    • Submit permit applications online
    • Track the status of their applications and permits
    • View documents related to their permits
    • Submit and view interim and final reports
    • Maintain their user profiles
  • RAAD Metadata
    Documentation concerning archaeological data managed within the RAAD application.
