Description:
A management protocol for IDF subzones within NDT4 disturbance types on TFL 15 was developed between 2001 and 2004. A subsequent report completed in 2004 looked at stand-level resilience and mortality following fires on the TFL in 2003. This report concluded that fuel accumulations are extremely high on the TFL and recommended incorporating fuel management strategies into all phases of planning. Since the protocol was completed, the Ministry of Forests has also required licensees to provide stocking standards by subzone and site series for all management units. This report adds recommendations for fuel management and incorporates approved stocking standards into the protocol. Variances to approved standards are also provided.
