Abstract

The stand level results showed little impact of spacing on total and net merchantable volume and no affect on rotation age. Spaced stands showed proportionally more volume in larger diameter trees, however, increased taper plus larger knot size in spaced stands also led to lower recovery of high value lumber products. Similar results are found at the forest-level.
