Series: Forest Investment Account (FIA) - Land Base Investment Program - Innovative
Description:
The purpose of the project was to develop a set of field cards to guide forestry staff in the identification of features and habitats that may be critical to terrestrial species at risk (red and blue listed) in the Kamloops Timber Supply Area (TSA). Field cards can be used during salvage operations in stands recently affected by wildfire, providing an innovative and user-friendly tool for forestry staff and workers on the ground. The field cards provide a concise reference on red and blue listed species' critical habitats for workers in the process of block layout and/or harvest activities.
