Abstract

The specific objectives of the project were to: 1) systematically identify potential mountain goat habitat in non-alpine areas across the Morice and lakes Forest Districts; 2) assess actual use of a subsample of potential habitat areas by mountain goats; and 3) develop a model to predict the probability of mountain goat occurrence by examining relationships between goat use and habitat attributes at potential habitat areas.
