This project entailed publishing 4 information bulletins for CPAWS members, regarding invasive species, fire suppression, mountain pine beetle infestation, and the effect of vehicle access (e.g. ATVs) in parks. These bulletins are also available on the CPAWS website and various public events. The purpose of these bulletins was to raise public awareness on these key restoration topics and the role of protected areas as reference ecosystems. The titles of these bulletins are: Fire - Fueling BC’s Biodiversity; Invasive Species - BC’s Unwelcome Visitors; Making Tracks - Motorized Use in the Backcountry; Mountain Pine Beetle - Setting the Story Straight.
