District Review

The District Manager will review every request to delete or exchange private land in a woodlot licence and consider the impact of the request on the overall forest resource management within the woodlot licence.

The request and district recommendation will be forwarded to the Regional Manager.

Regional Review

The Regional Manager will review the request and district recommendation in the context of regional consistency, adherence to policy, and impact on forest resource management.The request and district and regional recommendations will be forwarded to the Director, Timber Harvesting Branch.

Branch Review

Branch staff will review the request and recommendations for adherence to policy and impact on forest resource management.Branch staff will forward recommendations to the Minister for decision.

Management Plan

The District Manager will require a revised management plan for any woodlot licence in which private land has been deleted or exchanged. The management plan will be revised to reflect the changes to the land base of the woodlot licence.
