Office Review

Review compliance with management plan:

• general forest management principles
• specific commitments

Review compliance with licence and permit conditions:

• general conditions
• licence and permit specific conditions
• title on private land confirmed

Review compliance with pre-harvest silviculture prescriptions:

• up-to-date on all blocks
• obligations fulfilled

Review cut control compliance:

• current 5-year cut within 90% and 110% of 5 times AAC
• overcut carry forward (if any) included in any subsequent 5-year period

Review compliance with general administrative requirements:

• reports and applications submitted in a timely manner
• no outstanding government accounts

Review financial obligations:

• Scale and Royalty accounts
• other government accounts

Field Review

Conduct field review of operations, if ongoing monitoring and inspections are inadequate to judge performance:

• field operations in compliance with the plans, licences, permits, and prescriptions
• general level of field practices

Review of Findings

Discuss the findings of the office and field review with the licensee before developing a replacement offer.
