Scope

This policy covers the authorization and administration of scale sites.

Policy

All scaling must take place at sites authorized by the Ministry.

Scale Site Authorization

All scale sites must be authorized in writing by the Ministry prior to commencement of scaling. The site authorization must not exceed five years and should provide for scale site conditions, check scaling, and scale documentation requirements.

Scale Site File

All scale sites are issued a unique identity; a file is established for each site; and a scale site base record is set up on the Scale Administration and Control System (SCS).
