Scope

This policy covers audits of log sales data and lumber/chip sales data reported by licensees. Sales data is used to determine Average Market Values (AMVs) for direct use in appraisals.


Policy

Revenue Branch will establish and review:

  • criteria and requirements for log sales data reporting by coastal licensees
  • the list of interior licensees who must provide monthly reports of lumber and chip sales data

The Regional Revenue Audit Coordinator will audit the reported sales data to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting instructions. Audits will be conducted a minimum of twice yearly, or more often if deemed necessary.
