Scope

This policy covers the use of the Forest Service emblem throughout the Ministry.

Policy

The official emblem of the Forest Service is the "Forest Service Oval" (see Appendix). It is to be used only in conjunction with the Provincial Government Visual Identity Program, or for the exclusive personal use of Ministry employees to foster an "esprit de corps" and provide a symbolic means of identification of the British Columbia Forest Service for its members.

Uses

All applications for use of the emblem must be approved by the Deputy Minister and the Public Affairs Bureau, prior to use.

Use of the emblem should not conflict with the use of the BC Mark, as indicated by the Government Visual Identity Program.

All applications of the "Forest Service Oval" will reflect the best interests of the Forest Service and the Ministry of Forests.
