JURISDICTIONS CHOSEN FOR THE COMPARATIVE REVIEW
Jurisdictions for this comparative review were selected by the Project Management Committee (joint representation from the Ministry of Environment, Lands, and Parks and Ministry of Forests) in consultation with the study team. Background information was reviewed in order to determine that the jurisdictions did in fact have some form of forest practices rules or regulations which could be examined. In addition, they were chosen so that a cross-section of North American, European, Scandinavian and Australian jurisdictions were represented.
