Appendix 6. Sample Advertisement for Review and Comment on Proposed Interpretive Forest Site, Recreation Site,
Recreation Trail and Objectives for Publication in the Gazette and a Newspaper
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 6 of the Forest Practices Code of British Columbia Act, an interpretive forest site, recreation site or recreation trail [list one] and objectives are proposed for the following area:
project name – name of Forest District, as shown on the Exhibit A dated __, 1995, Recreation project number. *
The proposed objectives for the interpretive forest site, recreation site, or recreation trail are:
- Recreation experience objectives: to provide opportunities for [enter recreation opportunity spectrum class] recreation experiences. See the Recreation Inventory, Standards and Procedures Manual for a complete description of ROS classes.

The order to establish, an exhibit A showing the proposed location and boundaries of the interpretive forest site, recreation site, or recreation trail, the proposed objectives and a copy of the notice are available at the [name] Forest District office and the [name] Regional Forest office.
Written comments may be delivered to either the district or regional office within 60 days of the publication of this notice.
* Additional notice requirement for a recreation trail:
The total width of the recreation trail right-of-way shall be, for example, 10 metres on either side of the centre line of the trail.
