Contraventions and associated
formal enforcement decisions for major licensees
June 15, 1997 - June 14, 1998
The following compliance and enforcement statistics represent a snapshot in time. The ERA database is dynamic and is updated daily to reflect the most current information. Consequently, the figures in this report reflect information current to June 14, 1998. The appendix includes an update on investigations in previous reports which are now concluded as well as incidents that occurred between June 15, 1997 and June 14, 1998. All decisions shown as under review or appeal are subject to change.
Licensees are listed in decreasing order of approximate volume billed (in cubic metres). Included are forest companies with major licences that billed volumes of more than 5,000 cubic metres annually.
The contravention count as shown in the black bar tallies contraventions as determined by a senior official or as determined by an official through the issuance of a violation ticket. Formal enforcement measures such as stop work orders or forfeitures are not considered to be a finding of a contravention.
