Forest Practices Code
On December 17, 2002, a significant number of
amendments to the Forest Practices Code of British Columbia Act and regulations
came into effect.
These amendments reduce the administrative
requirements of the Code during the two-year transition period until the new
Forest and Range Practices Act is fully implemented in December 2005.
Information on December 2002 changes is available
on the FPC Transition Training website.
Over the spring and summer of 2003, a number of
regulatory changes were made to set the stage for a more results based forest
management regime in BC. Highlights of the changes.
