Objective:
To determine the effects of initial espacement (plantation density) on the
growth and yield of interior spruce.
Experimental Design:
Treatments
-
Five espacements (500, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 trees per hectare) are tested.
Layout
-
Randomized complete-block design.
-
Three replicates (blocks), each consisting of five treatment plots.
-
Plots are square, variable size (depending on espacement) and contain 12
rows of 12 trees.
History:
-
May, 1995 plantation establishment.
-
1999 first five-year measurement
-
1999 classified biogeoclimatically.
-
1999 Establishment nad Progress Report.
