Objectives:
To demonstrate and compare the growth performance of class "A" seed from
six southern interior spruce seed orchards.
Experimental Design:
The experiment was established in a randomized complete-block design with
two replicate blocks.
Treatments:
Test materials consist of one class "A" seedlot from each of six seed orchards:

West Kootenay high,

West Kootenay low,
-
Shuswap-Adams high,

Shusway-Adams low,
-
East Kootenay, and
-
Thompson-Okanagan

Experimental units consist of 144-tree (12 x 12) square blocks with trees
planted at 1 x 1 m spacing.

Reports and Publications: none to date
Comments:
The test site was a western larch progeny test site (EP
1020) that was abandoned because of high mortality.
Planting is replicated at the Barnes Creek Clone Bank, east of Enderby.
