| Original Purpose: Established by
Alastair McLean, Agriculture Canada, Kamloops, to investigate grazing
impacts, in 1952. EKTAWC Vegetation Monitoring Project added a new
exclosure to the south of existing exclosure in 1991. This is the
oldest known RRA in southeastern British Columbia. |
| Years Monitored: 1960, 1970, 1982,
1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 |
|
Comments: Detailed plant cover data for this RRA is available
in Ross (1997). Heavy grass litter accumulation inside the exclosure
has resulted in a flush of ponderosa pine seedling establishment.
Reports: Ross, 1997. Vegetation Monitoring Program Final
Report for the East Kootenay Trench Agriculture/Wildlife Committee
