Wildlife Habitat Ecologist (Smithers office)

Doug focuses on forestry and wildlife habitat/biodiversity issues. His research is aimed at developing operational solutions to conservation issues. Some of his active interests include developing silvicultural systems that provide for biodiversity, studying the role of dead/dying trees in forests, and assessing risk to wildlife species from changes in landscape patterns through management. He is involved in research dealing with a wide range of wildlife - from insects to frogs to bats to caribou.

Wildlife Habitat Ecologist (Prince George office)

Dale conducts research and provides extension and consulting on the relationships between forest management practices and wildlife. He has conducted research related to ecosystem-level guidelines for the conservation of biodiversity, as well as species-specific requirements of caribou and grizzly bears. Dale is involved in the development of Recovery Plans for Threatened caribou populations in northern B.C.
