Q: When will the contracts be posted?

A: It is anticipated the first contract will be out for tender by mid to late April on www.bcbid.ca with updates posted on this website.

Q: What kind of work will be available through contracts?

A: Road construction and upgrade works will be offered through contracts of various sizes at the beginning of the construction season. Smaller contracts and equipment hire opportunities may be available throughout the construction season as needed.

Q: How do I get my equipment registered for consideration for hourly hire works?

A: Registration on the MFR’s Engineering Equipment and Services List can be done through the EES system link which is outlined on the www.bcbid.ca website under Opportunities for Ministry of Forests, Mines and Lands, or through the Ministry Engineering Information web site. Information with instructions on registration is also outlined at here for all engineering works including this project.

If you do not have access to the internet, you can also inquire at your local Forest District Office with their engineering department.

Q: How do I find out when contracts are posted on BC Bid?

A: If you register for BC Bid as a Supplier, you can request an automatic Notification to receive an e-mail with any opportunity posted in specific categories for work. All updates on Contracts available will be posted on this website under “Updates” and “Schedule of Activities”.

Q: Do I need bonding for any of this work?

A: Bonding and insurance requirements vary by the type and size of the contract. Please refer to the General Contract Information document provided on this site.
