National Forest Week

September 23 to September 29, 2007

National Forest Week is held each year in recognition of the importance of Canada's forests to our nation. The theme for 2007 is: Canada's Forests: Tradition and Transition.

British Columbia has a long history of relying on and celebrating the resources of the outdoors. Millions of people from all over the world visit B.C. each year and many spend time in the forests that cover 95 per cent of our province’s land. British Columbians themselves make millions of trips into the forests each year, for work, recreation, and pleasure. Spend some time in and enjoy our province’s woods during Forestry Week and in the months and seasons to come, and visit the links below. Each one leads to more information, ideas, opportunities and activities about forestry.
