![]() The 1 and 1/8 inch plywood roof cover will provide a significiant sound barrier to airport activities in this world-class facility. The use of wood will also help the building meet Silver LEED and Green Globe environmental targets and will reduce the expansion and contraction of the facility which is a long term benefit to the structure. |
![]() The "V" grooves in the roof will increase the surface area of the overhead structure by an estimated 40 per cent. In addition, the "V" grooves allow sound waves to become more easily absorbed, creating a much clearer and warmer listening environment. |
![]() The roof will span an area of about 250,000 square feet. All of the dimensional lumber will be pine beetle wood - approximately one million board feet over 6.5 acres of roof area. |
