B.C. Forest Service offices analyzed their programs effectiveness, and discovered
similar results:
77% of staff involved in the program felt
better and had less absenteeism due to illness.
55% of participants said they felt good
about their increase in productivity capability.
Most staff agree this program helps to
improve office morale.
During the one-year analysis, one office
accrued 279 fewer hours of time off due to illness, which is a personal health benefit and
helps all staff in the office.
B.C. Forest Service staffa total of
842 peopleparticipated in the provincial Walk to Work challenge and raised $1,332.50
for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, which shows the genuine commitment of Forest Service
staff.
